Updates to Pro Tools 2023.3
New Sounds
Since 2006 Pro Tools included AIR Instruments, Hybrid & Xpand! and now we have even more sounds to work with. GrooveCell (Sampler), SynthCell (Synthesizer), and PlayCell, a new sample playback instrument that includes a comprehensive collection of sounds and streamlined interface.
Elastic Audio Algorithm
With the latest update, Pro Tools now support X-Form with native Apple silicon, and they’ve added an entirely new elastic algorithm, élastique Pro V3 by zplane.development, to all tiers of Pro Tools. élastique offers stable timing, inter-channel phase coherence, and sample-accurate stretching, as well as formant-preserving pitch shifting for monophonic and polyphonic audio in real-time.
Apple Silicon Support
Pro Tools now can run natively on M1 and M2 Macs, the chart below shows the improvements that running Pro Tools natively brings. Note that if your plugins are not updated to run on Apple Silicon they will not appear in Pro Tools Native, as a work around you can run Pro Tools in Rosetta2.
